The firm, a leader in the private M&A market, particularly in Insurtech and Fintech, aimed to turn its unstructured proprietary data into a valuable client tool. This tool would highlight the firm’s market expertise, provide clients with unique insights into market dynamics, and enable self-service access to documentation, freeing up valuable lawyer time.
Metamorf’s contribution
Metamorf designed an M&A-specific data model with over 200 fields characterising deals, deployed in the firm’s data warehouse. Machine learning algorithms extracted data from share purchase agreements into the database. Working with the firm's lawyers and legal operations teams, we designed and built an application that delivered valuable insights and allowed clients to query specific parameters to understand what was happening in the market. The app was deployed on the firm’s network with a security layer ensuring only authorised clients could access it, and each client could only retrieve their own SPAs.
