Transformation

Metamorf developed a database, API, and app that highlights key financial metrics. It alerts teams when WIP exceeds thresholds, budgets near limits, or rates are outdated.

Our data suggests the simple act of alerting fee-earners at the right time contributes up to 5% incremental revenue in the first year after launch.

Opportunity

The firm had great ideas for fixed pricing, cross-selling, and smarter work allocation. Their ambitions remained so due to poor data capture - you can’t create new products if you don’t have the underpinning data.

They needed a new database. Sounds simple, but it’s not. We understood what data to capture, how to structure it, and how to ensure continuous collection, automatically and at scale. Metamorf built a huge new database with over 400,000 data points.

We developed two algorithms: one cleaned historical time data, the other predicted case duration. We then built an enterprise machine-learning system.

Implementation

The new pricing application brought three core benefits: (1) the firm was able to offer fixed prices, reliably and at scale; (2) it enabled huge time savings - up to 90% for every price estimate; (3) firm is now viewed as a leader in pricing innovation.

Automated lead generation for an international law firm.

Opportunity

The firm aimed to add £10mn to its revenue. Partners, often overwhelmed with casework, had limited time for business development. Automating opportunity detection would allow them to close more deals with less groundwork.

Transformation

We identified key events triggering demand for legal services and built data pipelines to detect these events. An app was developed to present the opportunities for actionable insights.
